Hi There!

I'm a mechanical engineer and management consultant, born in 1990 (From Turkey, studied and living in Germany).

The name of this website is inspired by a famous statement from Charlie Munger about the importance of making the first $100,000. Munger said this in the mid-1990s, and adjusted for inflation, $100,000 then is roughly $200,000 today. However, instead of waiting to hit that higher mark, I decided to start this website once I reached $100k.

My ultimate goal is Financial Independence. I don't have a specific age target for this because life's unpredictable – assuming everyone will live into their 90s isn't accurate, though I hope we all do. The statistics suggest otherwise.

Another reason I don't aim for extreme early retirement is that I don't want to sacrifice everything just to achieve Financial Independence, Retire Early (FIRE). If I want to go skiing or enjoy an iced coffee, I don't want to always delay those pleasures to save another $5 for my stock portfolio. There's a balance between giving up everything, which I mostly did until I was 33, and spending recklessly.

I believe the real trick in life is not negotiating away the years from seventeen to thirty. Anyone can do that, and it's easier than I once thought. The challenge is building something that sustains you from thirty-five to sixty-five. Finding work that brings you pleasure, keeps you dedicated, and that you can pursue tenaciously without getting bored is key.

I don't know what that is for me yet. I often ask myself what I would do if I had $100 million. The answer is never to travel the world endlessly, eating, drinking, and doing nothing. I think it's important to do something meaningful for self-accomplishment and personal growth. I sometimes feel I owe it to my 18-year-old self.

So, I launched this website, along with my Twitter and Instagram accounts, to provide regular updates on my stock portfolio and my journeys. But I also want to connect with like-minded people, discuss stock and travel ideas, exchange information, broaden my network, and help each other.

Nice to meet you, and if you have any questions, feel free to contact me anytime.
